Seven new documentaries went up on Wonder, the Little Dot Studios channel built on air disasters, survival stories and military operations. The newest is the one drawing the crowd. "The Bojinka Terror Plot That Almost Killed 4,000 People" was posted on September 30 and had close to 8,000 views within its first ten hours.

It tells the story of Philippine Airlines Flight 434. In December 1994 a bomb went off aboard the 747, killing one passenger and damaging the flight controls. Captain Ed Reyes brought the plane down using engine thrust alone to steer. The episode then follows investigators to their discovery that the bombing was a test run for a much larger plan, credited to Ramzi Yousef, to bring down a dozen American airliners. The tags mark it as an episode of Mayday, the long-running Canadian series about air accidents and incidents.

Aviation filled much of the rest of the week. Mayday also supplied the story of FedEx Flight 705, a 1994 cargo flight on which three crew members fought off an attacker in the cockpit. The other uploads were an FBI Files case about crimes along America's interstates, a Belize boat-boarding mission from Surviving Mann All Stars, and a look at NATO fighter pilot training at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas. One older video is also still busy: "When Two Trains Collide," about the 2002 head-on collision near Placentia, California, which is more than eight days old.

Among the documentary channels nearest Wonder in size, BBC deepwatch and Real Wild are both running above their usual pace. Absolute History and NOVA are quieter than normal. Wonder sits sixth of nine by subscribers, a little over two million.
