Making a Spinosaurus with Warner Bros.' Oak Street crew

Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor feature in a behind-the-scenes look at the suburban survival thriller.

The dinosaur drew the crowd. Warner Bros. Entertainment's most-watched new upload went behind the scenes of The End of Oak Street, exploring the visual effects behind its Spinosaurus sequence with cast and filmmakers.

The featurette reached about 38,000 views, the largest total among four new uploads. David Robert Mitchell's film sends the Platt family's neighborhood somewhere unknown after a cosmic event, giving Hathaway and Ewan McGregor rather more to contend with than ordinary suburban problems. Viewers are discussing the creature's design and comparing the film's dinosaur encounters with the Jurassic World movies. One also finds an unintended joke in the thumbnail: it could suggest Hathaway plays the Spinosaurus.

Elsewhere, transformations came in smaller bottles. A Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed scene has Scooby and Shaggy experimenting with shapeshifting potions before the rest of Mystery Inc. arrives. It had a bigger opening day than the dinosaur featurette and is drawing substantially more daily views now.

Practical Magic 2 supplied both a movie preview and a wedding scene that reunites Sandra Bullock's Sally and Nicole Kidman's Gillian for midnight margaritas. That wedding clip is the channel's busiest upload by daily views, followed by Scooby-Doo. The older Model Citizen trailer, starring Aaron Eckhart in an amnesia-and-surveillance thriller, remains another active draw.

Across the channel, weekly viewing reached roughly nine million and subscribers increased modestly, although today's viewing is well below its usual pace. DC and Paramount had larger weekly audiences among nearby studio channels; Warner Bros. nevertheless finished third in that group for weekly views, with its new shelf moving between creature effects, cartoon potions and Owens-family magic.
