Viva La Dirt League's boss wants heroics for a $5 charger
Britt's pursuit gets action-movie comparisons in a comment section nearly ten times busier than usual.

When your boss asks you to risk your life for a $5 charger
A cheap charger is apparently worth an employee's dangerous pursuit, at least in Viva La Dirt League's version of retail management. The comedy group's Short, "When your boss asks you to risk your life for a $5 charger", drew about 680,000 views in its first day, far beyond its usual Shorts audience.
This is a staged workplace sketch, not footage of a real theft. The absurd assignment fits alongside the group's same-day upload "Stopping a robbery", whose description says Rowan insists his employees stop at nothing to catch a robber. Customer service has acquired a rather unreasonable extra duty.
Britt's pursuit is the detail viewers keep discussing. Commenters point out that she initially runs in the wrong direction yet still catches up, comparing her dash to the T-1000 chasing John Connor. Others reach for Tom and Jerry or imagine a fighting game's finishing announcement. The comments turn an unreasonable manager's demand into a collection of action and gaming references.
It is a different workplace problem from "How to dodge customers", which we covered here: avoiding shoppers in one sketch, being expected to chase a thief in another. Both make the shop floor a particularly unhelpful place to work.
