Spinning, standing up and onions: Vin Explains takes on dizziness
A second dizzy video went up an hour before this note, while the onion explainer from late summer nears a million views.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Why You Get DIZZY When Spinning..
"Why You Get DIZZY When Spinning.." is the newest full-sized hit on Vin Explains, the channel where Vin turns small everyday puzzles into short explainers, and it found most of its audience fast: more than 37,000 views on its first day, close to 49,000 now.
The comment section did what Vin's comments tend to do and started explaining back. Several viewers offer their own theories, from blurry eyes catching up late to a brain tricked into thinking it is still turning. Others ask follow-ups he could answer next, such as how ballet dancers keep spinning, or what happens if you spin the other way to undo it. And a running gag about missed calls has settled in among the regulars.
Vin seems to have liked the subject. At the end of the week he posted a sequel, "Why Standing up FAST Makes you DIZZY...", which had only been up for an hour.
Behind them, older explainers keep turning. "Why ONIONS Make You Cry..", from about six weeks ago, is closing in on a million views, and "The SCARIEST Lizard.." has passed 100,000 in under two weeks.
The channel as a whole ran slower than usual, at a little over half its normal daily pace, and the subscriber count held at 323,000. Among the stories-and-curiosities channels nearest its size, it was the quietest. Rako had an enormous week and Reddit Report ran well ahead of its usual pace.

What viewers say
My theory was. If u spin fast. You detect the dizziness later because your eyes get blurry, so if you stop, your eyes detect it then

"we being going in circle" finaly, a good joke
@ImApo123See it on YouTubeI like to think that you get dizzy because when you spin, you make your brain acknowledge that your spinning, so when you suddenly stop it tricks your brain into thinking your still spinning.
