Episode 8 of '4 Artists Evolve Eachother's Pokemon' brings Bonny John back to the table

Truegreen7, CuriousChaos, Bonny John and ErtDoesArt pass their fakemon around for three rounds until each one becomes a full evolution line.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

On a usual day Truegreen7's channel, home of fakemon (fan-made Pokémon), draws somewhere around 31,000 views across its whole catalog. Its one new upload, "4 Artists Evolve Eachother's Pokemon 8," passed 50,000 on its own in its first thirteen hours.

The idea is simple and the chapters show it: three rounds in which four artists, Truegreen7 joined by CuriousChaos, Bonny John and ErtDoesArt, take each other's designs and draw the next stage until every creature has a complete evolution line, then a look at the final results. The comment section is busy with the group itself, which viewers keep comparing to a lunch table of friends, and with one running joke that steers almost every conversation in the video back to someone named Kirk. Others came for the drawings: one viewer spotted a design built on Kaprosuchus, the prehistoric "boar croc," and another says a Gigantamax design reminds them of Bloons.

The most liked comment is a request: flip the format and de-evolve Mega and Gigantamax Pokémon back to their base forms. Others ask for the return of an older series where four artists draw from the same description, or for a whole region built by the regulars in one sitting.

Behind the new episode, the bigger collaborations keep ticking. The third "10 Artists Evolve my Pokemon 10 Times," with Subjectively and ComboGumbo among its artists, is three weeks old and still collecting thousands of views a day, and the second, from late spring, has passed 600,000.

For the channel as a whole the week ran right at its usual pace, with subscribers holding at 1.06 million. Among art and craft channels of a similar size it sat mid-table for views gained, while Create by K and karenxcheng each had far bigger weeks.
