Duane lets the judges choose the numbers, then hands the arithmetic to his two-year-old son, Devin. No song, dance routine or disappearing object here: the America's Got Talent act is built around a whiteboard and calculations spoken aloud.

The performance, identified as Baby Dev's 2024 audition, has reached about 1.5 million views in 15 hours on Top 10 Talent. That's a much faster start than usual for the clips channel's Shorts. This is an excerpt from the television show, not a new audition produced by the channel.

Howie Mandel supplies the first multiplication problem, while Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara contribute numbers for addition. Then Simon Cowell sets the more involved task: 79 multiplied by seven.

Devin works through the calculation aloud, including the carried numbers, before writing the correct answer. The appeal is in those intermediate steps as much as the result. "We get to see the process," Mandel says while the calculation is underway.

Host Terry Crews supplies the closing contrast between the small contestant and the adults watching him: "I can't do that. And I'm 55 years old."
