Six million views for 'The Impossible Yard Clean Up', three months on
Nothing new went up on Tim The Lawnmower Man's shorts channel, and a 102-day-old yard rescue carried nearly all of it.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
The Impossible Yard Clean Up
On an ordinary day, this shorts channel draws a little over ten thousand views. Lately it has been doing about half again as much, without a single new upload in seven days.
The reason is one clip. "The Impossible Yard Clean Up" went up in late June and has now passed six million views. On its own it brings in most of what the whole channel gathers each day, the kind of overgrown-to-tidy transformation the channel's name promises. The about text calls this place "short clips and bits" from Tim's life and points visitors to his main channel, Tim The Lawnmower Man, and to a newer one, Turf and Tools.
Two younger shorts trail well behind: "Bloke cleans up yard.", about two weeks old, and "Mind blowing side walk transformation", a month old. Both are modest by comparison, and the subscriber count sat still all week.
Among DIY and home channels of similar size, the loud weeks belong to Kate_cleanhome and Andrew Thron Improvements. Closer to home, SB Pressure Washing, another channel built on making dirty ground clean again, added almost exactly the same number of views over the week as Tim's shorts: the two totals land just two views apart.
