Joshua Weissman says diners are getting scammed, and The Iced Coffee Hour digs in

The two-hour talk runs from a kitchen fire he never forgot to Chipotle portions and a kitchen tier list, a few days after Hunter Biden sat for a financial audit.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

The chef pulled the crowd. Joshua Weissman, the YouTube cook behind the "But Better" remakes of fast-food classics, sat down with Graham Stephan and Jack Selby for a conversation billed as a look at how restaurants really make money. Going by its chapters, it wanders well beyond the margins: the kitchen fire he will never forget, what it costs to open a place, whether an influencer can save a struggling restaurant, tipping, and whether Chipotle bowls come up short. Graham even has to answer whether he is a nightmare customer.

In about a day and a half it passed 90,000 views, far ahead of anything else among the nine uploads this week. That includes the episode many might have expected to lead: "We Audited Hunter Biden: $15 Million Owed, $0 Stocks, & Going Broke," in which the president's son talks through his legal debt, the paintings, the four jobs he says he is working and his meme coin. It opened respectably and then settled down.

The short clips filled in around them, and a Hinge pickup-line short, an odd guest on a finance podcast, is the second-busiest thing on the channel right now. A new "BEST Stocks To Buy & Hold" episode is off to a brisk first day too.

Overall the channel is running a touch above its usual pace. Among the money channels nearest its size, CNBC Make It is also having a lively stretch, while Patrick Boyle and Your Rich BFF are quieter than usual. Good Work, the Morning Brew channel, sits just above The Iced Coffee Hour in subscribers.
