Diesel prices, newborn diapers and a new winter truck for Stefano Narducci

Fourteen uploads from the 25-year-old snow-and-mowing entrepreneur, including a gift for an employee named Justin, brought about 5,000 new subscribers.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Diesel Has NEVER Been This Expensive 😳Diesel Has NEVER Been This Expensive 😳

Stefano Narducci describes himself as a 25-year-old entrepreneur working on the future of residential snow-blowing and mowing, and his week sat right on the seam between the two seasons. Fourteen uploads went out, most of them short slices of the business: a customer who wanted his snow sleeves as soon as possible, rims he feared were ruined ("As good as new," the description reports), a piece of equipment billed as "Definitely Still Usable" and a stranger fishing where he apparently should not.

The most watched of the new uploads was the least seasonal one. "Diesel Has NEVER Been This Expensive 😳" turned the comment section into a fuel-price exchange. Viewers compared prices from California to the Midwest and the UK, one converted Canadian dollars per liter into American gallons for the neighbors, and several pointed out that a business running on fuel and labor feels every jump.

A warmer moment came on Monday, when Stefano surprised an employee with diapers for his newborn. The description simply says: "Congratulations Justin."

The freshest uploads are the busiest. "He Wants A Job...", two days old, is drawing the most viewers a day on the channel, and its description makes the hiring plain: always looking for operators. Close behind it is "I Got A NEW Truck For This Winter 👀", posted a day ago with a description that reads like relief: "I finally did it."

The channel added about 5,000 subscribers and more than nine million views, a little under its usual daily pace. Even so, no channel in its money and business group gathered more views this week, with The Caleb Hammer Show the next busiest.

  • For my fellow Americans, $3.10 CAD per litre is roughly equivalent to $8.22 USD per gallon. So yes, those diesel prices are very high.
