Missing cubes put collection memory to the test on SoupTimmy
KanyonsCubes checks what's gone from his collection, while another upload investigates puzzles shoppers pass over.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
How well does a cuber know his collection?
Knowing how to solve a puzzle and remembering every puzzle you own are different skills. SoupTimmy's most-watched new upload, "How well does a cuber know his collection?", puts the second one under scrutiny, with KanyonsCubes trying to identify which cubes are missing.
The comments turn that premise into a collector's conversation. Viewers compare their own difficulty remembering even modest collections, suggest emptying the entire shelf for a tougher test, and puzzle over a Mountain Dew-shaped item that several initially took for a real can. The upload has reached about 356,000 views and is the channel's busiest video by daily views right now.
The other new release, "I bought Puzzles with 0 Sales!", takes Timothy Huynh to SpeedCubeShop to investigate its lowest-selling puzzles and why customers don't choose them. Together, the two uploads look beyond fast solves to the objects themselves: what earns a place in a collection, and whether its owner notices when it disappears.
Older uploads remain active too. "Did he cheat???", featuring ColbyMartel, continues drawing viewers alongside "Someone's phone rang during blind solve…", although the collection challenge now has the strongest daily momentum of the three.
SoupTimmy added about 20,000 subscribers over the week, and daily viewing is above its usual pace. Among nearby art and craft channels, Serena Neel had a particularly large viewing week, while ZHC Crafts had a smaller one. For SoupTimmy, the new talking point is refreshingly specific: how well a cuber knows the puzzles on his own shelf.
