Has there ever been a better Reddit comment?
Trevor knows what's coming. As Shayne begins reading an old AskReddit question, Trevor recognizes the thread and starts laughing before the reply has even arrived.
Smosh Pit's "Has there ever been a better Reddit comment?" drew more than half a million views before its first day was over, putting it well ahead of the channel's usual Shorts start.
The excerpt comes from "Digging Up Reddit's Past | Reading Reddit Stories," with the cast in caveman-themed costumes and Shayne reading from a stone-tablet prop. The question asks people to choose their ultimate sexual partner from across human history. An earnest response comes from a widower who wishes he could be with his late wife again. Then Shayne reads a stranger's blunt reply choosing that same man's wife.
The contrast between the heartfelt account and the abrupt response is the exchange the cast reacts to. Viewers are also discussing Trevor's early recognition and recalling a follow-up in which, they say, the widower appreciated the joke. That follow-up isn't part of this excerpt.
Elsewhere on Smosh Pit, "We Spent The Night At The Museum" has passed a million views. Its visit with paleontology educators now sits alongside a rather different excavation: the Reddit episode also revisits buried beans and mysterious apartment Post-it notes.
