A photo album illusion, and a feature film in the making for Saksham Magic
The Indian-Australian magician and actor posted one short trick, while a behind-the-scenes diary from his first feature film is still finding viewers.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
OMG PhotoAlbum Illusion!!
Saksham Sharma's one new upload is a magic trick with a premise as plain as its title: "OMG PhotoAlbum Illusion!!" It went up on September 25, and six days later it is the busiest of his recent videos, though in a small way, with around fifteen hundred views so far.
That modest scale is the real shape of the week. Behind it sit a mid-September street stunt, "Pickpocketing stranger !!", and a video that says more about where his attention seems to be: "Day 2 of making my first feature film." For a channel that describes itself as part magic, part drama series, a production diary fits. His about text also mentions a role in Ice Road 2 alongside Liam Neeson, which makes the film diary an easy one to be curious about.
The channel itself is big. It has 5.68 million subscribers and more than six billion lifetime views, so these few thousand views per video are a quiet stretch for a channel built on far larger numbers. The subscriber count held steady.
Among the art, craft and magic channels near him in size, the busy ones are elsewhere. Mr. Spray is running at more than twice his usual daily views, and SoupTimmy and lilycollects are also well above their normal pace. Saksham sits fourth of nine by subscribers, just behind Fun Caboodle and just ahead of 5-MINUTE MAGIC, with a photo album trick and a film set keeping him company.
