Onkar Malhi's SUPER OVER EP arrives on Royal Music Gang, track by track
The Canadian Punjabi label put up the six-song EP as a jukebox and as separate full songs, with Devilo producing the opener 'DOESN'T LOOK GOOD'.

Royal Music Gang, the Surrey-founded Punjabi label that has been backing Punjabi Canadian artists since 2016, gave its week to a single release: SUPER OVER, the new EP from Onkar Malhi. The full jukebox went up on September 24, and the individual songs followed over three days, each with its own page.
The EP's note, in Malhi's voice, frames it as the sound of a come-up, written by someone who kept showing up when nobody was watching. He wrote and composed the opener, "DOESN'T LOOK GOOD," with music by Devilo. Further down the tracklist are "DIL WALI GAL," which brings in Gauhar Dhillon, "PRIME MINISTER" on a beat by Verse, and "TROUBLE," produced by Syphr.
Every one of those uploads has settled at a little over a hundred thousand views. Only the opener is still drawing a real daily audience, several times what the jukebox gathers now. Perhaps listeners have picked their favorite.
The label's busiest video right now is not from the EP at all. "AUKAAT," Deep Jandu's track featuring Karan Aujla, who also wrote its lyrics, is nearly three months old and closing in on 600,000 views. It still draws more each day than anything new.
Among similar music channels, Royal Music Gang ranks third by subscribers, at about 2.7 million. Most of its neighbors, from BBC Radio 1's VEVO channel to triple j, are running busier than usual.
