That Short has passed a million views. Its comments became a waiting room for the longer conversation, with viewers invoking Beato's Billy Joel interview and asking when they could watch Taupin's in full. The full interview arrived Monday and has already drawn about half a million views, exploring his creative process and long partnership with Elton John. "Rocket Man" originally appeared on Elton's 1972 album Honky Château, a durable result of that words-first collaboration.

Beato posted ten uploads altogether, including listening to Matchbox Twenty with the band, Josh Homme discussing what makes him different, and a livestream about finally learning a Steely Dan song. The channel added subscribers over the week, while daily views are currently more than double their usual pace.
