Higher costs reach voters long before election forecasts do. That is the argument David Shuster builds in a Rebel HQ commentary that drew about 220,000 views in nine hours, already far beyond the channel's usual full-day audience for a regular video.
The starting point is September's Producer Price Index, with broadcast reports showing a sharp rise in wholesale inflation. Economist Justin Wolfers appears in clips explaining the pressure from supply-chain costs, then returns to discuss tariffs, interest rates and consumers' gloomy assessments of the economy.
Shuster places those explanations beside footage of Donald Trump denying that tariffs cause inflation and blaming his predecessor for rising prices. Reports on gasoline, diesel and airfares bring the discussion back to expenses households encounter directly.
The title, "Trump Puts Another Nail In GOP Coffin with THIS", states Shuster's political conclusion much more forcefully than an inflation report alone can establish. His case combines the price increases with polling clips about Republican turnout concerns and a Fox News House forecast, which we discussed as we reported here. Those are electoral warning signs in his argument, not an election result.
The new upload puts the economic explanation before that forecast: business costs, household bills, then the question of whether dissatisfied voters will turn out. The Fox projection arrives near the end, after the sequence of economic reports and Trump's responses.
