Should a captain wait around for a handshake? That is the question viewers have taken from Amazon Prime Video Sport's Roy Keane Short, with a second detail attracting just as much attention: his acknowledgment of Ronaldo.

The upload, billed as “Roy Keane's AURA was unmatched”, reached about 152,000 views in less than a day, far beyond the channel's usual start for a Short. Its comment section is more than a dozen times as busy as a typical first day.

Viewers discuss whether players should be ready when the handshakes begin. Several point to a pat on Ronaldo's back, reading it as a gesture of respect amid Keane's otherwise no-waiting approach. The Ronaldo they mean is the Brazilian striker known as R9, not Cristiano. For a clip sold on intensity, it is that smaller acknowledgment that gives the conversation some warmth.

Keane captained Manchester United to the 1999 treble, so the comments invoking that team's mentality have a familiar reference point. The channel is also looking toward United's October 13 visit to Atlético Madrid, with Adam Clery offering a tactical breakdown alongside its trips into the archive.
