Video taking off 34x its usual first day

Stolas says 'always' to Blitzø, and Helluva Boss fans replay it

A short Helluva Boss clip on Prime Video's Australian and New Zealand channel collected more likes in under a day than its shorts usually gather in weeks, and its comments are already worried about season 3.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 154,240 views a day, 34 times a normal first day on this channel (4,528).

Twenty-two hours after it went up, a Helluva Boss short titled simply "always" had close to 150,000 views on Prime Video AU & NZ. A new short there usually opens with a few thousand.

The clip belongs to Blitzø and Stolas, the imp who runs an assassination business out of Hell and the owl demon prince whose spellbook keeps him in business. Brandon Rogers voices Blitzø, Bryce Pinkham voices Stolas, and the channel tagged both names along with Vivziepop, the show's creator. The moment is the soft kind this pairing does not often get: Stolas saying the title word, and a blush that many commenters single out.

The comment section is far livelier than the channel is used to. A first day here normally brings a couple of comments, and this one drew dozens, along with likes about sixty times the usual. Viewers keep pointing to the eleventh episode as the scene's home, quote the delivery of that one word back to each other, and call out a guitar riff in the background. Just as many look ahead nervously. Season 3 comes up again and again, with several viewers saying that what they have seen of it leaves the couple's tenderness far behind.

It was the second romance on the channel that day. A Love Hypothesis clip in which Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman share a last fake date at a sushi train also went up, but it was the owl and the imp that most viewers stopped for.
