Helluva Boss brings a brawl to the Wackford hoedown

Prime Video's sing-along starts as a gentle country duet before the barn dance gets considerably less gentle.

Wackford Hoedown Sing-Along | Helluva Boss | Prime Video

The white-suited singer has a guitar-playing partner, a decorated barn and an audience of demons sharing drinks. For a while, "Wackford Hoedown Sing-Along | Helluva Boss | Prime Video" looks like a surprisingly peaceful night out for this adult animated comedy.

Then the tempo changes. The country ballad becomes a square-dance call, and the guests move from watching the stage to roping, twirling and enthusiastically wrestling one another across the floor. The sing-along subtitles keep going through the chaos.

The musical clip reached roughly 240,000 views in its first 11 hours, already far beyond Prime Video's usual full-day audience for Shorts. Its comment section is also much busier than a typical first day.

Viewers are picking out the precise moment the gentle gathering turns rowdy. Others are discussing the expanded Wackford family and the chance to see more of ordinary imp life, away from the demon-assassin business at the center of Helluva Boss. Several comments focus on Millie's place in the surrounding episode rather than the song alone.

It isn't the show's only fast-moving clip on the channel: "Who knew hell could be so relatable? #HelluvaBoss #PrimeVideo," featuring relationship complications, also drew an unusually large early audience. Here, though, the complications come with acoustic guitar and a crowded dance floor.

I gotta say, I kind of love how Wally Wackford started out as a bit of a joke character, but now has a whole family that are all just as wacky/great as he is. I also love the design and voice of the dad, he looks and sounds so cool. Song's great, too.

Honestly, out of all the newly released episodes, this one was the best in my opinion. We got a look at the lives of ordinary imps, and as a bonus, we learned more about Millie.
