Turning viewers into Stew - Community Dread Hunger

Pedguin opened the doors this week. "Turning viewers into Stew - Community Dread Hunger" is his one new upload, and the title gives away who ended up in the pot: not his usual Yogscast companions but his own audience, invited aboard for a community game.

Dread Hunger is a survival game with a traitor problem. A crew of explorers sails into the Arctic, two of them are secretly thralls working against everyone else, and food gets scarce enough that cannibalism is on the menu. The description keeps it simple: Pedguin playing Dread Hunger. The comments are more specific. The few viewers who wrote in left timestamps rather than reviews, marking the first poker game early on and a second one past the 39-minute mark, as if the card table were the real event of the evening.

It is the second community session in a row. "Community Dread Hunger ~" went up a few days earlier, and the two now sit side by side at the top of the channel. A month-old Yogscast match with a mod that hands the thralls five spells still turns up behind them.

It was a calmer stretch for the channel overall, with views running at about half their usual daily pace and the subscriber count holding at 379,000. Among the let's-play channels of similar size, ChilledChaosGAME and NintendoCapriSun kept a similar steady rhythm, while RetroGamingDays and Cam2r Gaming had the busiest weeks by far.
