Red tika and jamara in 'Kya Daami Dekhiyo', Aa Bata Aama 2's Dashain song
Babul Giri wrote, composed and sings the film's festival number, and the comment section has become a roll call for Paul Shah and Malika Mahat.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 1,118,110 views a day, 18 times a normal first day on this channel (63,496).
Kya Daami Dekhiyo (Dashain Song) || AA BATA AAMA 2 Movie 2026 || Late Pradeep Rawat, Bipana Thapa
OSR Digital, the Kathmandu distributor acting as digital partner for Aa Bata Aama 2, has released the film's Dashain song, and it is moving at holiday speed. "Kya Daami Dekhiyo" was close to a million views 18 hours after it went up, far beyond what a regular upload here usually gathers on its whole first day.
The full title, "Rato Tika Jamara Lagauda Kya Daami Dekhiyo," is about how good someone looks wearing red tika and jamara. Those are the blessings of Dashain, Nepal's biggest festival: the rice-and-vermilion mark and the pale barley shoots that elders place on the foreheads and behind the ears of younger relatives.
Babul Giri wrote the words and music and arranged and mixed the track himself. He sings it with Ravi Oad, Rachana Rimal and Junu Rijal. The film, written and directed by Chandra Pant, reaches cinemas on October 16. Its credits open with "Late Pradeep Rawat," and a separate credit names Surendra Shah as the voice for Rawat's dubbing. Bipana Thapa, Paul Shah, Malika Mahat, Aakash Shrestha and Saigrace Pokharel lead the rest of the cast.
The comments are where the song comes alive. In 18 hours there were more than 3,000, against fewer than a hundred on a usual first day. The most liked one comes from an account writing as Giri, thanking Pant for choosing him and the actors for their dancing. Many of the others are check-ins from fans of Paul Shah and Malika Mahat. A quieter thread comes from Nepalis working abroad who will miss the festival at home this year.
This is the second song from the film to start this way on the channel, after "Achel Kina Kanchhi," as we reported here. OSR Digital is also the digital partner for Chha Maya Chhapakkai 2, which opens a day later. That film's "Mayama Expiry Date Hudaina," with Deepak Raj Giri and Deepa Shree Niraula, passed a million views on the same day.

A festival song from a film still a week from cinemas, and a comment section that filled far faster than the channel is used to.
