Ninja Sex Party brings trumpet and lap steel on a date

Shoocharu's animated "Going On A Date - NSP" has a surprisingly crowded musical guest list behind Danny's romantic outing.

Why this story? The whole channel is running at 552,193 views a day, 7.3 times a normal day (75,390).

Kat Ostenberg supplies vocals, Tom Moffett plays trumpet, and TWRP's Doctor Sung and Lord Phobos contribute synthesizer and lap steel guitar. Danny may be the one going on a date, but Ninja Sex Party brought plenty of company to the recording.

"Going On A Date - NSP," animated by Shoocharu, is approaching two million views since its release last week. The channel is also drawing roughly 550,000 views a day, more than seven times its usual pace. That is a channel-wide jump, not a total belonging solely to the single.

The band's latest companion upload casts Danny as both a date-planning genius and a dispenser of fun facts. It follows another post celebrating the response to the song, keeping the animated outing at the center of Ninja Sex Party's recent releases.

Behind that outing, the credits give Jim Roach a particularly full workload: he co-wrote the song with Dan Avidan and Brian Wecht, produced it, and played guitar, drums and bass. Avidan handles vocals and Wecht plays organ, with the guest musicians adding their own textures to the comedy.
