Nas.com Agents and four strange humans: Nuseir Yassin's two-sided week
A business announcement opened the week, a sponsored travel video closed it, and a five-week-old Dead Sea short sits past four million views.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Announcing Nas.com Agents.
Two uploads, two different Nas Dailys. The first, "Announcing Nas.com Agents.", is a product launch aimed squarely at small and medium businesses and startups, in keeping with the channel's about text, which now talks about helping people work for themselves online. It is a long way from the one-minute travel clips that made Nuseir Yassin famous, and it has gathered a little over 80,000 views in its first week.
The second is the older Nas, back on the road. "4 Strangest Humans in the World" went up on September 30, billed in its description as a trip around the world to meet some of the most interesting people on Earth. Half a day in, it is already the busiest video on the channel, moving several times faster than the Agents announcement did.
Behind it, two late-August videos keep company. "The Surprising Physics of the Dead Sea." has passed four million views, and "Why Singapore has to pay you $70,000 for a baby", which the description calls the biggest problem of our generation, has gone past a million. Both are the explainer-style Nas that viewers keep returning to: a place, a puzzle, a minute or two of answers.
With 14 million subscribers, Nas Daily is the largest of the travel channels grouped around it, though the busy stretch belongs elsewhere: Jen Smith is running far above her usual pace, and Camper MidNight keeps drawing millions of views a day. Nas, for now, is splitting his time between the road and the office.
