Googlebook questions and Homeview doubts occupy Marques Brownlee
Two new reviews put Google's laptops and Apple's smart-home display under scrutiny.

WTF is a Googlebook?
The questions found an audience. Marques Brownlee's two uploads brought unfamiliar hardware into familiar territory for his channel: what does this thing actually offer?
"WTF is a Googlebook?" was the week's most watched new upload, reaching roughly 7.8 million views. The description introduces Google's laptop entry, with Asus and Dell providing review units. In the comments, viewers debate the usefulness of an Android laptop compared with a tablet and keyboard, while an apparently redundant auto-rotate setting supplies a particularly specific talking point. Others offer their own increasingly elaborate product names.
Then came "Apple Homeview Impressions: Not Convinced!", an early assessment of Apple's smart-home display. It drew more than five million views in its first day, a larger opening than the Googlebook video, and now accounts for most of the channel's daily viewing. The title makes Brownlee's initial reservations plain, though the description leaves the individual quirks for the video.
Across the channel, daily views are running at more than twice their usual pace, while subscribers stayed unchanged over the week. Mrwhosetheboss had a larger weekly viewing total among the neighboring gadget channels; Unbox Therapy had a quieter week, with its daily viewing below its usual level.
The new devices haven't entirely displaced the phone shelf, either. "Xiaomi 18 Fold: How Does This Happen?" remains among Brownlee's most active uploads, extending a hardware-heavy stretch beyond laptops and the smart home.
