A ballpoint jack-o'-lantern and a black cat join Mister Brush's Minecraft Verity
Two Halloween drawings arrived this week, while a month-old Minecraft tutorial and a truck built from its own name kept most of the attention.

How To Draw A Jack O'lantern | Halloween | Step-by-Step Ballpoint Pen Drawing Tutorial!
Mister Brush has turned his ballpoint pen to Halloween. The two new tutorials each take one spooky subject and break it into a few easy steps: a jack-o'-lantern on Saturday, then a black cat on Wednesday. Both are pitched, as the descriptions put it, at beginners and anyone who wants to keep drawing simple.
Neither has found a big crowd yet. The cat had a few hundred views in its first day and a half, and the pumpkin, a week old, is still under a thousand. Perhaps the October season simply has not arrived for these two.
The tutorials doing the work are older. "How to Draw Verity Minecraft," posted about a month ago, is the busiest video on the shelf right now. Behind it sits a truck drawn out of the word "truck" itself, a little trick that has kept finding viewers seven weeks on, and a two-week-old Sprite can.
The channel as a whole ran ahead of its usual pace, with something over 750,000 views in seven days and about 2,000 new subscribers. Most of that came from the deep back catalogue rather than anything new.
Among the art and craft channels nearest its size, that put Mister Brush third for views gained. Clara Threads and DTM_art, the drawing channel with creepers and Mr. Bean on its pages lately, had the bigger weeks.
