Markiplier's SILLY CAT brings horror home with questionable floor plans

His only new upload pairs indie scares with multiple endings, while viewers wonder whether they were promised a very different cat video.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

SILLY CATSILLY CAT

"SILLY CAT" sounds harmless enough. Markiplier's sole upload of the week is an indie horror playthrough, though, and the comments have found plenty to investigate beyond the cat: the house's peculiar layout, the protagonist's urgent response to an unexpected feline and a brief interruption for dog pictures.

Some viewers arrived expecting a sequel to "MEOW," while others imagined a short clip of a rotating Portuguese cat. Instead, they got another entry in Mark's long-running scary-game repertoire, with multiple endings and editing credits for Diceroll and Lixian. The mismatch between that tiny title and a full horror outing is its own little joke.

The video has reached about 1.7 million views and is comfortably the channel's most active upload right now. Behind it, "BELOW, RUSTED GODS" keeps the horror going with an expedition disturbing ancient gods, albeit with Mark's description stressing that he isn't the one heading underground. "INFINITE MONEY GLITCH FOUND | Bills Must Be Paid" offers a different compulsion: a money-making clicker game he describes as difficult to stop playing.

One new video hasn't meant a small week for the channel. Markiplier added about 100,000 subscribers, and daily viewing is well above its usual level. He also had the largest weekly view gain among this selection of variety-gaming channels. Caylus shared his subscriber increase, while jacksepticeye's daily viewing was also above its customary pace. For Mark, the week's fresh attraction remains a deceptively simple proposition: a cat that gets a little strange at night.
