A Bricks & Minifigs plaintiff speaks, and Andrew Esquire reads it for Reckless Ben

Josh Johnson's interview, set against BAM's RICO and defamation complaint, passed 600,000 views in four days.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Andrew Esquire spent much of his week where his channel has lived for a while: inside the Utah federal case Bricks & Minifigs brought against Reckless Ben, the LEGO-focused YouTuber. The new chapter is "Josh Johnson’s Interview Just Helped Reckless Ben Win." Johnson is a named plaintiff in BAM's RICO and defamation suit. In the video, Andrew argues that Johnson's interview walked back the story the complaint tells about Ben, and that this strengthens Ben's anti-SLAPP motion. The video drew close to 400,000 views on its first day and has kept going since. Much of the comment section circles one question: how sincere was the apology Johnson offered in the interview?

The franchise saga runs deeper on the shelf. "BAM Just Shut Down Reckless Bricks — Then Ben Opened Another One," from two weeks ago, follows former BAM stores in Tucson and Sarasota that reopened under a new name. It is still finding viewers.

The other two uploads were heavier. One is a plain walk through Lindsay Clancy's September 29 hearing in Plymouth Superior Court, her first since the September mistrial. Judge William Sullivan took the defense's renewed motion for a not-guilty finding under advisement, and the next hearing is set for November 2. The other, a few hours old, goes through the latest filings in Andrew and Tristan Tate's US cases.

The channel as a whole ran slower than its usual pace, and subscribers held at 426,000. Even so, among the true crime and courts channels nearest its size, only The Decoder added more views over the week. Law&Crime Investigates was running above its own norm, and Dateline NBC stayed right on its usual line.
