Buying books and finding time to read them are two different hobbies, and Khalilah D.'s latest uploads make room for both. In "my BIGGEST book haul ever 📚 | massive book haul," she walks through purchases, publisher picks and additions connected to Shelves & the City. Her description admits the physical reading pile has gotten out of control, without expressing much regret.

The haul drew the larger audience of her two new uploads, reaching about 24,500 views. Its comments offer a reading list of their own: viewers recommend Ella Minnow Pea as a quick read, discuss The Names and admit to adding more titles to already crowded shelves. One reader who doesn't usually pick up romance singles out Main Characters as a possibility.

"a few days in my life 📚 | books, life updates & everything in between" shifts from acquiring books to fitting them around work and everyday routines. The reading update includes She Didn't See it Coming by Shari Lapena, The Correspondent by Virginia Evans and Famesick by Lena Dunham. The video also includes a Book of the Month promotion. Although it has fewer total views than the haul, this newer catch-up is currently drawing the most daily views on the channel.

Khalilah added about a thousand subscribers over the week, while today's viewing is below her usual daily level. Among nearby lifestyle channels, her weekly view gain sits in the middle, close to Brogan Tate's; zanadia si'mone had a busier viewing week.

Books aren't the only things getting shelf space. Her earlier "NEW 2026 Amazon Kindles: Should You Upgrade?" remains active, with Khalilah explaining why she thinks many owners of a recent Paperwhite or Colorsoft should keep the device they already have.
