Fifteen Shorts, one star. Dylan Novak, who calls himself a professional basketball player in his channel's about text, spent his week handing the camera to Storm, his French bulldog, and Storm kept turning up for work.
The formula is simple and the titles tell it: a dance trend, a dog who does not quite follow it. "your other left bud😂", which we wrote about here a day ago, has since gone past four million views, most of them on its very first day. The comments under it keep coming back to the same small things: that Storm only ever seems to look to the right, and that someone should just give him the treat.
The newer clips have picked up the thread. "you'll get it one day", posted the same Wednesday, is now the one moving fastest on the shelf, past a million and a half views and still gathering more than a million a day. Thursday's "freaking easyyyyy", built on a game rather than a dance, and "best duo out" followed close behind.
All of it adds up to a big week. Among the vlog and daily-life channels nearest its size, Dylan's gained the most views by a wide margin, ahead even of Grace May, who is having a strong week of her own, while Simon Kim and Michaela Bento kept to their usual quiet pace. About 39,000 people subscribed along the way, a lot for a channel just under 370,000. Storm, for his part, still seems unsure which way is left.
