A goalpost hug and a kneel at the 1: Highlight Reel's NFL "Instant Regret" list

Four weeks of the 2026 season boiled down to its worst decisions, from two early interceptions to seven seconds the Cowboys would like back.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 48,498 views a day, 12 times a normal first day on this channel (3,885).

Ten hours after it went up, "NFL's Craziest "Instant Regret" Moments (2026 Edition)" had about 28,000 views. A new upload on Highlight Reel usually finishes its entire first day somewhere near 4,000.

That is a big gap for a clips channel that spends most of its days on trick shots. Its other uploads around the same time were Shorts with titles like "Insane footwork" and "What sport is this?", and most of them sat between one and four thousand views.

The compilation goes in a different direction. Its description sums up the season's first month as a run of self-inflicted wounds: a celebration hug with a goalpost that cost a game, a kneel at the 1-yard line, two interceptions thrown before many fans had reached their seats, a halftime guarantee that did not hold up, and a seven-second stretch the Dallas Cowboys would rather forget. Stefon Diggs, Trevor Lawrence, Justin Herbert, Sam Darnold and Klint Kubiak all appear in the list.

The comment section is still small, but it is already arguing. The scene viewers bring up most is Dak Prescott trying to get a crowd going and getting silence back. One fan suggests a different target for one of Darnold's throws, and a Cardinals supporter makes the case that the Giants should never have scored on an interception to put a game away. A few viewers just admit they did not get some of the clips.
