How does an apple-picking trip end up in a hockey locker room? Handyman Hal makes room for both, turning the week's most-watched new upload into a tour of machines, snacks and the work behind a day out.
"Apple Farm Adventure with Handyman Hal! 🍎 | Apple Picking, Cider & Hockey Fun" has drawn roughly 41,000 views. At Jeter Mountain Farm in Hendersonville, Hal explores a playground converted from a horse barn, examines a vintage John Deere and heads into the orchard. Field guide Rose Marie explains cooking and eating apples before the children get picking.
The visit goes beyond filling baskets. Hal follows apples through sorting, washing, shredding and pressing, then drives a tractor spreading leftover apple mash around young trees. There is a bakery stop for cider donuts, too. By the time he reaches Stomper's birthday celebration in Greenville, the machinery lesson has switched to a Zamboni's blade, auger and warm-water system. Broadcaster Mark Binetti supplies the hockey explanation.
His other new release, "Handyman Hal's Halloween Trick or Treat Challenge! 🎃", takes the learning-through-play approach to Big Air, with obstacle challenges and bowling against a shark. It has a smaller total audience than the farm trip but is currently adding views faster.
Across the channel, views are running modestly above their usual daily pace, while the subscriber count was unchanged over the week. Among nearby children's channels, Vlad is also drawing above-usual daily views, while Kids Academy is quieter than usual.
Hal's busiest upload right now predates both new adventures: "Can Handyman Hal Build a Skeleton Dino? 🦖💀 | Halloween Fun for Kids" is adding nearly 100,000 views a day. That outing pairs him with Awesome Alex to assemble a dinosaur skeleton and take it around the neighborhood for trick-or-treating.
