Butter gets a whole-menu taste test on Guga Foods
Steak, popcorn, grilled cheese and fried chicken feature in the channel's only new upload of the week.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Does Butter Really Make Everything Better?
Guga Foods has taken a familiar kitchen belief and given it a much bigger menu: does butter really improve everything, or does oil deserve some credit? "Does Butter Really Make Everything Better?" compares the two across foods ranging from eggs and burgers to lamb chops, pasta and French fries. It has drawn about 680,000 views.
The interesting part is how many different cooking questions fit inside that simple premise. Viewers are discussing butter-basting fried eggs, adding butter at the end of a smashburger cook and why restaurant food can taste different from a homemade version. Others want another round of comparisons, this time with ghee or duck fat. These are kitchen-method conversations, not just votes for a favorite ingredient.
The new upload has the most daily views of Guga's videos right now, but two older experiments are close behind. "I Soaked Steak in PHỞ for ½ YEAR… We Tried It!" grew out of an Uncle Roger challenge and pits Vietnamese pho broth against French onion soup in a beef-aging experiment. It has passed three million views. "I Tested The Viral Baking Soda Burger Hack" is also drawing a similar daily audience, testing the hack's promises of juicier meat and better browning.
Guga sits between Cooking with Kian and Essen Recipes in subscriber size. Kian is having a busier-than-usual viewing day, while Guga's own most active videos offer three distinct routes into the same curiosity: what happens when you change the ingredient everyone takes for granted?

3:59 For a butter burger, I'd prefer smashburger done normally and then baste it with butter at the end.

@SchopengaardSee it on YouTubethis is the biggest reason people sometimes can’t imitate the taste of restaurant cooking because they don’t realize how much butter is in everything lol.

@OliverxllllSee it on YouTubeI want to see steak aged in a flavored tea (like Earl Gray, English Breakfast, or Chai {which means tea in a lot of languages}.)
@BlackCatsAndCorgisSee it on YouTubeHaving grown up in the Midwest where they have Culver's, I learned early that you can definitely tell the difference between a burger with butter and without.
@saw1833See it on YouTubeIf the butter's cold, I use a cheese slicer across the top ot the stick
