Gemini Home Entertainment's 'Open Minds' gets the GTLive lore hunt
The reaction spends nearly half an hour on banter before the analog horror watch-through begins, and it passed twenty thousand views within a day.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Did YOU know the origin of CHAINSAWS? 😳
"🔴Finding The LORE of Open Minds | Gemini Home Entertainment Reaction" is a watch-along of the newest entry in Gemini Home Entertainment's analog horror series, posted on GTLive, the gaming and internet-culture home of the Theorist family. The chapters are honest about the format: the first twenty-eight minutes are billed as "The Witty Banter," and only then does "The Terrifying Watch Through" begin. Barely a day old, it is the busiest thing on the channel by a wide margin, moving far faster than anything else posted in the week.
It closed out a four-upload week with a spooky streak. A demo of Terrible Lizards, pitched in its description as a dinosaur-park escape with something dark lurking, had a lively first day before settling. Worming From Home, in which the player is a worm with a desk job, drew a slightly larger total at a gentler pace. The quickest total of all belongs to a short about the origin of chainsaws, a nod to the Theorist habit of asking questions nobody thought to ask.
The channel as a whole is running a touch above its usual daily pace. Among streamer channels of similar size, GTLive sits fourth of nine by subscribers, while Duke Dennis is having a noticeably busier week than normal.
