Kez's bull, four elk under 40 yards and a moose waiting for Jeff's tag
The northern BC homesteading family's one new hunt came with a visit from Abby and her young family, and a promise about how the elk got home.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Another Perfect Elk Hunt - 4 Bulls Under 40 Yards
Gridlessness, the family who left the system for a cabin in the woods of northern British Columbia, put out one video in seven days, and it was an elk hunt. "Another Perfect Elk Hunt - 4 Bulls Under 40 Yards" lives up to its title on the count, if the description is right: non-stop elk and moose, with four bulls coming inside 40 yards. It closes on a tease that it is worth waiting to see how they got this one home.
The shooter this time is Kez, and her bull dropped where it stood, close enough to the house that viewers keep remarking on a hunt in the family's own backyard. Several longtime followers write that they first found the channel through her sister Sarah's first elk years ago. Now they are watching the next daughter do it. Abby came for a visit with her growing family, and that drew nearly as much talk as the bull. A moose that wandered through before its season opened has the comments hoping it sticks around until Jeff's tag is good.
The hunt opened with over 57,000 views on its first day and has been the busiest thing on the shelf since. A September stone sheep climb, "22Hours of NON-STOP Hunting Action to Bag This Big Ram," is still moving behind it, along with a late-summer homestead day built around their micro hydro system.
The channel ran a little below its usual daily pace, and the subscriber count held steady. Among the outdoors and homesteading channels closest to it in size, it gathered the third-most views of the week. Big Water Guy, with a very large week, and 402_Outdoors were the two ahead of it.

"Right at it!"@CattailsandSageSee it on YouTubeCongrats on your bull, it’s almost bitter sweet watching them be able to go out and get it done on their own. My boy (15)got his first bull this fall with his uncle and I and then went out and helped me call in my nephew’s big bull followed by helping get his buddy’s first bull after that. Proud parent passing on the tradition and feeding the family. Love the vids ❤️
