No uploads, 2.5 million views: Grace Reiter's 'Twilight (but better)' tease lives on

The five-month-old teaser for her vampire parody has passed 720,000 views, on a channel that added about 8,000 subscribers without posting anything new.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Twilight (but better) is coming soon… #twilightbutbetter #butbetter #tbb #parody

Grace Reiter took the week off, and her channel hardly noticed. Nothing new went up, yet daily views ran above their usual level, and around 8,000 people subscribed over the seven days.

The single busiest video is a promise. "Twilight (but better) is coming soon…" went up 141 days ago, tagged as a parody, and it has passed 720,000 views. Behind it come a belly-dancing short and one tagged #chemistryread, an actor's term for the audition where two performers test a scene together. That fits her about text, which says she is more than "that girl from American High Shorts": she also lists a bartender role in Hulu's Prom Dates and a protester in First Time Female Director on The Roku Channel.

Among vlog and daily-life channels near her size, only Bryton and Jade gathered more views this week, and Kaci-Jay is running at nearly twice its usual daily pace. For Grace, the vampires are still doing the talking.
