Nick Knowles brings pasties, cannons and a Pirates plan to GBR
The DIY SOS presenter joins Alex Payne, James Haskell and Mike Tindall to discuss a documentary and Cornwall's rugby ambitions.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Nick Knowles On His 10-Year Plan To Save The Cornish Pirates
Cornwall filled the schedule. All five new uploads on The Good, The Bad & The Rugby revolved around Nick Knowles, with the full conversation drawing the week's biggest audience at roughly 53,000 views.
In "Nick Knowles On His 10-Year Plan To Save The Cornish Pirates", the club's part-owner lays out an ambition to reach the top of the Premiership. The practical questions are substantial: a stadium, a budget and the difficulties of traveling to and from Cornwall. But the proposed match-day spectacle has its own personality, with pirate themes, pasties and cannons entering the conversation.
Knowles also discusses a documentary inspired by Welcome to Wrexham. That connection makes sense as a storytelling ambition: a club's fortunes can introduce viewers to the place around it, not just the scoreboard. Here, Cornwall itself is a recurring subject.
The comments bring that local connection down to ground level. One viewer remembers taking his sons to the Mennaye, with a piper playing in the Cornish drizzle before the match. Another has a Pirates visit planned and says the interview has given the trip an extra dimension. Several discuss how the club might grow without sacrificing that atmosphere.
Shorter uploads pulled out Cornish rugby's profile, the Pirates' ambitions and Knowles's grip-strength challenge. Some of those clips are sponsored by Continental Tyres.
The channel's subscribers were unchanged across the week, while today's viewing pace is about half its usual level. Its weekly view gain was modest among nearby sports channels; Fox League had a busier week. Yet the strongest daily momentum here belongs to an earlier conversation: "Why I Almost Quit: Joe Heyes on the Reality of Professional Rugby" is currently drawing more daily views than the Knowles interview.

As a somerset boy who follows Briz, I absolutely love going to the Mennaye. Have a great memories of taking my sons to games against London Scottish, the piper playing in the cornish mizzle before the match. So many great times there, my favorite ground, reminds me of the Memorial Ground. C'mon Pirates!
