A mountain bike at a gravel race: GMBN's week, fifteen uploads deep

Daily FAIL and SEND clips filled out the week, and a new Global Mountain Bike Show episode looked back at products the presenters can't believe they once used.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

FAIL Of The DayFAIL Of The Day

Knobbly tires, gravel start line. "We Tried To Win A Gravel Race On A MTB" went up on Sunday, and three days later it is the busiest video on the Global Mountain Bike Network. It has passed 130,000 views and is still gathering them at a lively clip. The title sets out the premise: a mountain bike entered in the drop-bar crowd's own event.

Around it, the week ran on the channel's daily rhythm. There were fifteen uploads in all, many of them the short FAIL Of The Day and SEND Of The Day clips. One Thursday FAIL has drawn nearly 200,000 views, far more than its SEND twin from the same day. That is a small, telling contrast.

The newest arrivals are moving too. A quick short asks which setup would be fastest, and Episode 22 of The Global Mountain Bike Show looks back at products the presenters say they can't believe they used to ride with. Both are a day old and already among the channel's liveliest.

Overall, the channel ran well below its usual daily views. Most of its motorsport and off-road neighbors did the same, FortNine and John Hicks among them. NASCAR was the one running ahead of its own normal pace.
