A Messi strike from an Instagram clip leads FOX Soccer's six shorts

Zidane's grin at France's win over Belgium, two Lamine Yamal goals for Spain and Rasmus Højlund's frustration after a 4-2 loss to Portugal filled out the week.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Four days old and still the one doing the work: "Messi could not have hit this any better 🎯" passed 400,000 views, more than all of FOX Soccer's other new shorts put together. The clip came to the channel by way of Instagram, credited in the description to the account that posted it first, and it is an MLS moment, the league where Lionel Messi has played for Inter Miami since 2023.

The rest of the week went to the international game. Zinedine Zidane, the man who won the 1998 World Cup as France's playmaker, turned up in a short about his reaction as France took all three points against Belgium, and it had a strong first day before settling down. Spain got three clips: a celebration ahead of its first home match since the 2026 World Cup, and two goals from Lamine Yamal, one quick and one, as the title has it, from the tightest of angles. Both Yamal shorts are still drawing a steady trickle.

The newest went up only hours before this note: Rasmus Højlund unhappy with Jorge Jesus after Denmark's 4-2 loss to Portugal.

Overall the channel ran right at its usual pace, close to 200,000 views a day. Among the football channels near its size, Sky Sports News is having the big week, at roughly three times its normal level, and ESPN UK and Tifo are running ahead too, while AFTV and adidas Football are quieter than usual.
