Meet Colt Canada's C25: a Canadian rifle in the SA80's shadow
Colt Canada brought its newest assault rifle to the UK as the British Army looks for a successor to the SA80, and the clip has passed 280,000 views.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Meet Colt Canada's C25💥
A Canadian rifle led the week. "Meet Colt Canada's C25💥" introduces the company's newest assault rifle, freshly arrived in Britain as Colt Canada looks for buyers in Europe. The description asks the obvious question: with the British Army preparing to replace the SA80, could this one be in the running for Project Grayburn?
The comments, though, fixed on one line. The presenter calls the rifle great from a health and safety point of view, and viewers have not let it go. Some joke about it, others argue over whether a sound level of 140 decibels can be called safe for anyone's ears. A veteran remembers carrying the heavy FN FAL, and one viewer was more impressed by the suppressor, which is said to have no internal baffles at all.
Around it, fifteen uploads ran from the North Atlantic to the Ukrainian front. Royal Marines went back to the Faroe Islands for the first time since the Second World War, training alongside Danish forces on Exercise Lion Protector, and that clip is now drawing more views a day than anything else on the channel. The uncrewed submarine XV Excalibur fired a heavy Mark 48 torpedo off Scotland, and Simon Newton's Op Vivaldi explainer, which we covered here as it took off, has passed 160,000 views.
The channel ran slightly above its usual daily pace, with close to four million views over seven days, the third most among the military and geopolitics channels nearest its size. Max Afterburner had by far the biggest week, and Preston Stewart drew about the same as BFBS Forces News. The season's last word went to Duxford, where two Flying Finale streams carried Spitfires, Hurricanes, Typhoons and the Red Arrows over the old airfield.

What viewers say
Farmers getting serious.
@glyncedwardsSee it on YouTubeI'm jealous...when I served, we were using the FN FAL C1 with 7.62mm ammo; it was a heavy beast that could kick like the proverbial mule (until you got the gas setting right).
@PhineasPhuleSee it on YouTubepicked up and handled this weapon it felt great, I think the most impressive thing about was the suppressor concept that has no baffles or any inner workings and will last a whole barrel life. Would be a good choice.
