Roblox turns 20, and Flamingo takes the nostalgia tour

His anniversary-event playthrough joins returns to Happy Wheels and a door-picking game on Steam.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

I Ruined The ROBLOX 20 EVENT…

The title says sabotage; the description says thank you. Flamingo calls the anniversary event one of his new favorites in "I Ruined The ROBLOX 20 EVENT…," giving its developers credit beneath a rather less diplomatic headline.

That playthrough was the most watched of his three new uploads, reaching about 1.2 million views. The comments offer their own tour guide: viewers compare the early games with the later challenges, recognize a returning lizard and point out the comedy of asking which team he belongs to while surrounded by matching yellow equipment. Nostalgia is part of the conversation, but so is the effort required to get through the event.

The other uploads took him outside Roblox. "I did something TERRIBLE." returns to Happy Wheels following its addition to Steam, while "PICK A DOOR" tackles Project Threshold, whose door-choosing premise gets a suitably direct title. Those three new videos also occupy the channel's most active viewing spots, in the same order.

Across the channel, weekly viewing reached roughly 9.4 million views, with subscribers unchanged. Daily viewing is currently a little over half its usual pace. Nearby, KreekCraft is drawing more daily views than usual, while Thinknoodles had a similar weekly audience to Flamingo's.

For Flamingo, the anniversary upload supplies the week's most specific little joke: even a yellow base, yellow fighter and yellow armor apparently leave room for a team-identification question.
