Two Avatars? The Film Theorists considers Seven Havens' twins

A series-wide look at The Last Airbender accompanies the new theory, while Kick-Ass gets a less reassuring superhero assessment.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Avatar: Seven Havens' twin leads give The Film Theorists a particularly good question: could both be the Avatar? "TWO Avatars?! | Film Theory" had been online for just nine hours and was already the channel's most active upload by daily views.

It follows a much broader return to Aang's world. "Film Theory: Avatar: The Last Airbender Literally Changed My Brain Chemistry" examines the original series through balance, grief, friendship and redemption. Taken together, the uploads move from what Avatar teaches to what its fictional rules might allow. The series-wide essay is also drawing more daily views than the channel's other highlighted older uploads.

The most watched of the week's four new videos, though, is "Film Theory: Kick-Ass Is Kicking His Own Ass," with about 341,000 views. Its premise turns an apparent crime-fighting advantage, reduced sensitivity to pain, into a liability. Viewers are sharpening that distinction: some point out that the character feels less pain rather than none, while others request a look at Novocaine. The channel's separate "Kick-Ass - FULL MOVIE" upload remains active too, giving the analysis a ready-made companion.

The fourth addition visits the fictional prison mystery of the Webtoon comic FOGLAND, where human experimentation and an ominous fog supply the questions.

Subscribers stayed unchanged, and daily channel viewing is running at roughly a quarter of its usual pace. Nearby, Dead Meat is having a busier-than-usual spell, while Screen Junkies is quieter. For The Film Theorists, the freshest point of curiosity is that twin-shaped puzzle in Avatar's future.
