Giant crabs, a solo trip and a seafood feast for Field Days
The week's only upload passed a quarter of a million views in three days, with a family-feeding catch from mid-September behind it.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
I Went SOLO to Catch GIANT Crabs & Fish for the Ultimate Seafood Feast
"I Went SOLO to Catch GIANT Crabs & Fish for the Ultimate Seafood Feast" is the one video Field Days put up this week, and the title tells the whole plan: go alone, catch big, cook it all. It went up on September 27, drew about 150,000 views on its first day and has kept going since, well past a quarter of a million.
It also fits a thread. Seventeen days earlier came "Feeding My Family With ONLY What I Catch," and that one is still ticking along. So is a much older piece, "3 Days Alone – No Food, No Water, No Fire (Extreme Survival)," nearly six months old and edging toward a million views.
The new upload lifted the whole channel: views per day are running at close to double the usual pace. Around it, the outdoors and fishing corner is mostly in a softer spell, with Outdoor Tom, Kamoka Pearl and B2B Castaways all below their normal days, while Nate Petroski is having a busy one. Field Days, one of the bigger channels in that group, came through this week on a single crab trip.
