Are You Buying The Wrong Tires?

Could one question about tires carry a whole week? For Engineering Explained, it did. "Are You Buying The Wrong Tires?" went up on Thursday, the only new video of the week, and it opened fast before settling into a steadier stride. Three days in, it has passed 490,000 views and is still gathering about a hundred thousand a day.

Behind it, the gap is wide. "Bigger Brakes Won't Stop You Any Faster," now 24 days old, and "How To Easily Ruin Your Turbocharged Car," from 17 days ago, are both still ticking along, but at a small fraction of the tire video's speed. The turbo video actually holds a bigger total than the brakes one, even though the brakes video is moving a little quicker today.

Across the whole channel, views ran right at their normal daily level. Among car channels, Engineering Explained sits fifth of nine by subscribers, almost level with DailyDrivenExotics, and draws more daily views than most of the group. Forrest's Auto Reviews and Cleetus McFarland are the busy ones, each far ahead on daily views. For a channel built on explaining how cars work, a plain question about rubber was enough to keep things rolling.
