A tire tool, a regret list and a machine he never got back

Stanley Genadek's equipment confession tells of a machine he handed back to its maker for improvements three and a half years ago, and now no longer wants.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

What does a lifelong contractor regret buying? Stanley "Dirt Monkey" Genadek answered that himself in "5 Pieces of Equipment I REGRET Buying," one of eight uploads this week. The description sorts the five into machines that simply didn't work and ones that went wrong after the sale. One gets a category of its own: he gave it back to the company so they could improve it, on the understanding that it would come back to him. That was three and a half years ago. He still doesn't have it, and by now he says he doesn't want it.

The bigger crowd, though, gathered around a short. "Tire Changes just Got Easier." passed 190,000 views in under a day and a half. The comments turned into a shop-floor debate. The most liked one dares him to try it on a tire that has spent two years and thousands of miles caked in bead sealant. Others ask whether it works on aluminum rims, weigh the price against a full machine, or stick loyally with their tire spoons.

The rest of the week wandered further afield. There were trailer and truck shorts, a newer one called "Take my Money." picking up early speed, and a detour into the fish tank with "I Got Burned So I tried 6 More Times," his return to rare fish like koi and sturgeon after an earlier bad experience.

Overall the channel ran at about half its usual daily pace. Among DIY and building channels near his size, he ranked third for views gained this week. BAS Renovations had the standout week, with more than eleven million.
