Sleep-deprived friends give Dimucc a fresh comedy premise

Seven new uploads also give Minecraft items and mobs a say in their own design.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Asking your friend to go out based on sleep...Asking your friend to go out based on sleep...

Dimucc made the invitation to go out depend on how much sleep your friend got, and viewers promptly started comparing sleep schedules. In the comments on "Asking your friend to go out based on sleep...", the zero-sleep version gets particular attention, alongside jokes about caffeine and the nap that accidentally lasts half a day.

It was the most-watched of his seven new uploads, reaching roughly 870,000 views. Its opening day was also stronger than those of the week's Minecraft-item, mob-attack and unavailable-gaming-friend sketches. The premise needs no game knowledge: sometimes arranging a night out starts with establishing whether your friend is awake.

Minecraft nevertheless supplied plenty of the week's material. "POV: Minecraft items deciding thier purpose..." was close behind in total views, while "How Minecraft Mobs Chose Their Attacks..." gave the creatures their own decision-making premise. The newer "Minecraft items deciding what they do..." is currently his fastest-moving upload, though it has had much less time to accumulate views.

An older family-gaming setup remains busy too. "POV: Your little brother asks to play..." has passed six million views and is drawing more daily views than the sleep sketch.

The channel gained subscribers over the week, bringing it just short of eight million. Today's viewing is considerably slower than usual, despite a weekly total of about 17 million views. Nearby sketch channels Jake Ceja and Viva La Dirt League had larger weekly viewing totals, while The Try Guys had a quieter week. For Dimucc, the active shelf spans both sides of the gaming session: the Minecraft world itself and the negotiations required to get someone to play.
