Australia v Bangladesh | Second ODI 2026-27

Australia won, but the comments beneath the match highlights keep returning to a Bangladesh batter. Sobhana Mostary became the first Bangladesh woman to score an ODI century against Australia, giving the visitors a milestone of their own in Brisbane.

The highlights, "Australia v Bangladesh | Second ODI 2026-27", drew more than 218,000 views in their first 17 hours, already far beyond the channel's usual full-day audience. The comment section was also several times busier than a typical first day.

Georgia Voll led Australia's victory with a career-best unbeaten innings, bringing up her third ODI century on home turf. cricket.com.au gave her a dedicated highlights package, but it is Mostary's separate century video that has also drawn an unusually large early audience.

That two-sided story carries into the comments. Viewers discuss Mostary's stroke-making and Joty's support, while one points fellow readers toward a cover drive in the match highlights. Others make room to recognize both Voll and Mostary rather than discussing only the result.

The distinction matters: Mostary's landmark was Bangladesh women's first ODI hundred against Australia, not their first against any opponent. Her innings gives this Brisbane match something to remember beyond the hosts' victory.
