A usual day on the Call of Duty League's channel brings in a little over twenty thousand views. Lately it has been running at about half that, which is not unusual for the gap between seasons, when there are no matches to stream.

The week's centerpiece was "Ranking Rookies w/ Shotzzy & Dashy 😭", with the two pros sizing up the league's newcomers. Shotzzy won a world championship with the Dallas Empire in 2020, and Dashy made his name with OpTic. Their ranking picked up most of its crowd on the first day and has passed 30,000 views.

The newest upload is a short, "True respect for the nub 🤣", and nine hours in it was already moving faster than anything else on the channel. "No city was safe 😭" rounded out the three posts and has gone quiet. Further back, the Black Ops 7 Esports World Cup finals from August are still collecting a trickle of views.

Most game publishers and esports channels in the same group are also running below their usual pace, from World of Warcraft and Zenless Zone Zero to OpTic Gaming. That makes this a slow stretch for nearly everyone.
