Welt pockets, flat zippers and pants that grow: Clara Threads' fifteen fixes
A hidden-edge trick for waistbands, cuffs and bag straps joined the pocket lessons, and about 6,000 new subscribers arrived.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Among the sewing and craft channels nearest its size, Clara Threads had the second-biggest week for views, a little over four million. Only WHOLEHEARTED, whose inside-corner technique is having a very large week, gathered more.
Fifteen uploads went up, and they read like a tailor's to-do list. Pockets took a good share: a perfect straight welt pocket, a contrast version, and a zipper pocket billed as perfectly flat. Hems and openings filled much of the rest, with a clean slit at the hem, a rounded slit, and a way to tuck raw edges out of sight on waistbands, cuffs and bag straps.
The straight welt pocket was the week's most watched, past 100,000 views. Its comment section is a small world tour of thanks, written in Spanish, Indonesian, Arabic, Ukrainian and Russian, and one viewer says they had tried the pocket before without getting it right.
The freshest uploads, though, are the ones moving fastest. Three day-old videos lead the channel's pace, and all three solve wardrobe problems rather than build something new: shortening pants without cutting the hem, sewing a sharp inside right-angle corner, and making a tight waist bigger. Perhaps alterations are what people reach for when the closet fights back.
The channel as a whole ran a touch above its usual pace, and about 6,000 new subscribers arrived over the seven days.
