Nuggets, fries and a hungry dad: Catron Culture's family food shorts

Stacee, Dunavin, Greyson and Gavren posted four shorts, and two September food skits have each passed five million views.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Food runs this house. Of the four new shorts on Catron Culture, three are about eating: a stingy plate, a broke run through the grocery store and a dad who simply cannot stop being hungry. The family behind the channel, Stacee, Dunavin, Greyson and Gavren ("newest edition," as their about page puts it), build their skits on parent-versus-kid moments, and this week the parents took the lead roles.

"😡STOP taking my FOOD!" is the most watched of the batch, past half a million views. Its comment section reads like a group confession: many viewers say that is exactly their mom at the table, one swaps the roles and says it is their dad, and several point out the oldest line in the book, that she said she wasn't hungry.

The dad short, posted on Tuesday, opened faster than anything else this week and is already the channel's busiest video. Close behind are two September skits with a shared premise, "Why Kids ONLY want NUGGETS?!" and "Why Kids ONLY want FRIES?!", both well past five million views and still drawing a steady crowd. Maybe the menu is the formula here.

The channel ran a little below its usual pace, adding about 4,000 subscribers. Among comedy sketch channels of similar size, Catron Culture has the most subscribers and the second biggest week in views, behind only EthanThe Artist, while Sam Cornforth is running well above his usual pace.
