Brooke Monk makes a sideways escape from teenage encounters

Her wordless public-awkwardness sketch has viewers comparing classmate avoidance and calling her exit a moonwalk.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 893,170 views a day, 13 times a normal first day on this channel (66,546).

Has this happened to you?

The smile disappears as soon as the caption introduces a group of teenagers. Brooke Monk crosses her arms, looks suspicious and shuffles sideways out of the encounter. No conversation needed, which is rather the point.

It is a staged bedroom sketch about being out in public, not footage of an actual run-in. In "Has this happened to you?", a cheerful bounce gives way to an immediate retreat, all set to background music without spoken dialogue.

The Short reached nearly 590,000 views in 11 hours, already well beyond Monk's usual full-day Shorts audience. A separate upload with the same title is also drawing an unusually large audience.

Viewers are supplying their own versions of the awkwardness: spotting classmates outside school, avoiding groups even when they are teenagers themselves, or realizing they belong to the very group being avoided. Several have a more specific observation about Monk's getaway: that sideways shuffle looks like a moonwalk.
