Mike Tyson at 15, in tears before a fight, passes a million views
Boxing Game's look at the teenage Tyson crossed the mark within six days, while a 1991 Razor Ruddock story nears eight million.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Mike Tyson at 15... It Didn't Feel Real
"Mike Tyson at 15... It Didn't Feel Real" spent its first day like an ordinary Boxing Game upload, then kept going. Six days later it has passed a million views, and it is now gathering more in a day than anything else on the channel.
It goes back to Tyson's amateur years under Cus D'Amato in Catskill, before anyone called him Iron Mike. The comments circle a few moments. One is a knockdown that viewers keep quoting from the narration, Cortez falling like a cartoon character on a banana peel. Another is a decision many still call a robbery. And a big group is still arguing about the 1984 Olympic trials, where Henry Tillman beat Tyson and went on to win gold in Los Angeles.
The channel kept the theme going. A follow-up on Tyrell Biggs, the 1984 super heavyweight champion, is billed in its description as the payoff to a story of Biggs mocking Tyson in their amateur days, and it ends in their 1987 title fight. Between those two came a Ben Whittaker knockout reel built on his fight with Jordan Grant.
The older shelf is not resting either. The two-night story of Tyson and Donovan "Razor" Ruddock in 1991, from the disputed stoppage at The Mirage to a rematch that left Ruddock with a broken jaw, is three weeks old and close to eight million views. A Saenchai video about the Muay Thai great handling much bigger opponents is still finding viewers too.
About 8,000 new subscribers arrived over the week, though daily views ran a little under the channel's usual pace. Among the combat sports channels nearest its size, only TheFightGuy, on a very big week, gained more views. Queensberry Promotions and talkSPORT Boxing were busy as well.

@mrdgracias4417See it on YouTubeHe wasn’t just crying out of fear. It was fear, it was passion, it was him being anxious, him not wanting to let Gus down. Mike was a ball of uncontrollable emotions that fueled his desire to box.
